This event will be held at Saint John The Baptist Church in Tipp City, OH. At this event new scouts will cross over from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. Our scouts will be there to welcome them into the troop as they cross over the symbolic bridge.

This event will be held at the Church of the Scout's choice. Scout Sunday is an opportunity for scouts to attend services in uniform, conduct a flag ceremony, speak about Scouting, and present religious awards.

In February, we went to Monroe Grange to practice our first aid skills. It was a cold campout, with temperatures going down all the way to the twenties. It was also the first campout that the karate turtle patrol came along. Scouts had a blast playing in the snow. We had a lot of wrestling matches, and we chased each other around in the snow. We also did Real Life First Aid. Real Life First Aid is a mockup of what a real first aid situation looks like. It tests scouts on their ability to remain calm, assess injuries, and their ability to apply treatment. In all, we had two scouts fake die. Overall, this campout was a blast and everyone had fun.

Scouting for Food is our biggest service project of the year. This service project consists of 2 Saturdays. On the first Saturday the scouts pass out door hangers to every house in Tipp City. On the second Saturday the scouts collect all donated food items from all the houses that have sat food outside. This year we collected 3000lbs of food for Needy Baskets food pantry.

For this event the scouts will be camping at Camp Friedlander in Loveland, OH. The scouts will be taking the STEM Nova program at IFly where they will learn the science behind skydiving and get to take 2 flights in the indoor skydiving tunnel.

The Fishing main event is held at Chenoweth Trails in Greenville, OH. The scouts put all of their fishing knowledge to the test as they attempt to catch fish (everyone catches a fish at this pond).

On Saturday the scouts place flags on the graves of veterans at Maple Hill Cemetery. On Monday the scouts participate in the Memorial Day parade.

This event is a service project for our charter organization. The scouts spread and compacted gravel then built the Gaga ball pit. In the near future the scouts will be installing a rubber floor for the Gaga ball pit.

This years summer camp will be held at Camp Chief Little Turtle in Angola, IN. At summer camp the scouts work on completing merit badges, team building exercises, rank advancement requirements, and of course having fun with friends.

The Paddle Sports main event will be held at Camp Hugh Taylor Birch in Yellow Springs, OH. The scouts will go on a 5 mile canoe trip down the Mad River.

Court of honor is a troop event held to award the scouts all the different achievements they have earned. Whether it be merit badges, ranks, or roles, scouts have the chance at Court of Honor to be recognized for their achievements.

The Caving event will be held at Marengo Caves in Marengo, IN. Scouts will be exploring the "wild" cave filled with mud, water, tight spaces, and all the adventure they can handle.

Mum Fest is the big fundraiser of the year for the scouts. Starting in August the scouts begin selling mums to be painted on driveways. September begins the painting all the way up to Mum Fest. At Mum Fest the scouts run a Cobbler Booth.

Wilderness Survival will be held at Camp Michaels. The scouts will learn how to survive in the wilderness with only the things around them. They will build there own shelter and sleep in that shelter one night.

Turkey Bowl will be held at the Redmen Picnic Grounds in Troy, OH. For this event the scouts spend the day cooking a Thanksgiving meal that they will share with their families that evening.

Brighton will be creating a retreat in the woods at Ginghamsburg Church for his Eagle project. For phase 1 of the project the trail was cut and cleared into the woods. Then rocks were dug up to line the creek and build a fire pit.

The Cycling main event is held at Hueston Woods State Park in Oxford, OH. The scouts go on a bike ride on the bike trails at the state park.

This is a very special event where Gavyn was honored for his accomplishment of reaching the rank of Eagle Scout. It take a lot of hard work and dedication to earn the rank of Eagle Scout. We are all very proud of Gavyn for earning this high honor. Many stories were told and lots of laughs had.

Brighton will be creating a retreat in the woods at Ginghamsburg Church for his Eagle project. For phase 2 of the project the remainder of the brush was cleared and firewood was stacked. A fire pit was constructed with rocks and 3 benches were constructed with materials that were gathered on site.
